Roles and Goals
As you probably know, your school and community already offer a variety of services to assist young people who are experiencing difficulties with learning in the classroom. Click here to see the Service Delivery Model. The Student Health Partnership's (SHP) goal is to enhance access to a range of student health services intended to support children and youth to be successful at learning.
The resources are tailored to address needs that are not already being met by other organizations, and to help strengthen existing services. The SHP offers these key services to all schools in the region:
- Family-School Liaison
- Mental Health Services
- Occupational Therapy
- Physical Therapy
- Speech-Language Therapy
The focus is to support students in achieving their learning goals. SHP professionals see students in their own schools, emphasizing solutions that will help them participate more fully in daily educational activities.
In general, concentrate on short-term goals that have a lasting impact in helping students reach their learning potential.
