Families and children are an important part of the Student Health Partnership.
Parent/legal guardian representatives play an active role in decision-making at the Steering Committee level.
Communication Guidelines:
All partners working collaboratively to meet a student's health-related learning needs acknowledge the following:
Every parent/legal guardian has the right to contact the teacher and/or therapist directly to inquire about their child's progress and service plan.
Existing supervisory/communication protocols of the partners will be used when communicating about SHP service delivery. Contact your school administration for further information.
The teacher(s), therapist(s), assistant(s) and parent/legal guardian(s) involved will develop a communication plan as part of the student's service plan.
