It is about students, parents, teachers and health-care professionals working together to help young people with health-related learning needs make the most of educational opportunities.
The goal of the Student Health Partnership (SHP) is to enhance access to a range of coordinated, school-based services intended to support children and youth to be successful at learning.
Student Health Partnership Services may include emotional-behavioral supports such as family-school liaison and mental health services and/or rehabilitation services such as speech-language therapy, occupational therapy and/or physical therapy.
The child's school is the gateway to all Student Health Partnership service, and is the first step in the referral process.
